City of Duncan

When the City of Duncan set out to find an agency to bolster its tourism brand, it hadn’t yet identified that a major part of that effort would require uniting the area’s stakeholders toward a common purpose and visual identity. Everyone wanted to drive traffic from the highway to the downtown core, but no one could agree on how to do that or what the message would be. Further, the main stakeholders had been working at odds for several years on delivering a message. Hothouse worked with the City, its marketing committee, and the Downtown Duncan BIA to create a unified plan and then several tactics – a new logo and positioning line, billboards, highways signs, street banners, ads and other collateral to get people “off the highway”. The City and the DDBIA now work together on marketing the downtown core.
